Funding: Overview
Despite the high demand for scholarships, bursaries and grants from local South African students, UCT does provide limited support for international applications.
Primarily these scholarships and bursaries are awarded to postgraduate students, and do not necessarily cover full cost. International postgraduate students should apply firstly via the Postgraduate Funding Office.
International Master's and PhD (Doctoral) students can also apply to their Faculty, via the applicable departments, for a Dean's Waiver.
Certain academic departments also provide scholarships to students, please enquire with your supervisor or Head of Department.
