Preferred choice of housing

Each area has two options to choose from:
category 1 - rent ranges from R16,500 - R18,999 per person per semester
category 2 - rent ranges from R19,000 - R22,000 per person per semester

A - Rondebosch   B - Rosebank   C - Mowbray   D - Observatory   E - Own accommodation

For example - If you would like to live in Observatory and pay R16,500 for the semester, then you would write D1 as your first choice. If you are arranging your own housing, you would simply write E. Housing is allocated according to availability and it is essential that you list at least 3 options.

- Rank in order of preference (Rank 1 = most desired)

Special Comments - please state here:

If you use IAPO-secured housing, you are committed to the full semester lease period. You may not come to Cape Town and decide after a couple of days/weeks/months that you are going to move in with friends or make any other alternative accommodation plans. If you do this you will be liable for the full rent for that period. Landlords will request you to sign a lease for the time you are residing in their accommodation.

I am aware that my housing choice cannot be confirmed until my non-refundable Housing Booking fee has been paid (deductible against total rental due). The ZAR 3,000 deposit must be paid by telegraphic transfer or internet (including all bank fees) directly to the landlord. Banking details will be supplied to you as soon as accommodation has been allocated to you.

Don't forget that your full name should be entered as the reference. Important: if a third party is making the payment on your behalf, it is still your name that should appear as reference otherwise we will not be able to credit the payment.

Scan and email the proof of your payment to Jonathan Mitchell. If scanning is not possible, then you can also fax the proof payment through to the international office on +27 21 650 5667, marked for attention of Jonathan Mitchell.

Bring proof of payment with you to UCT to show at pre-registration.

If you want to keep a hard copy, please print before clicking the email button.
