Forest Hill

Forest Hill

Forest Hill consists of 6 blocks of flats situated in Mowbray and looking up to the mountain.

There is a computer lab, swimming pool, basketball court and a well-kept garden area. An astro-turf hockey field and a well-equipped circuit gym are close by, as are a shopping mall and transport to all parts of Cape Town.

All blocks consist of two-, three- and four-bedroomed flats. E block is a block for medical students.

This residence has good security and ample parking.

Groote Schuur Mansions

Groote Schuur Mansions

Groote Schuur Mansions is a block of 32 flats - two with 4 rooms, three with 3 rooms, two with 2 rooms and twenty-five 2-roomed flats with lounges.

It is situated on Main Road in the heart of Rondebosch. The block houses 65 senior and postgraduate students. It has a reputation as a quiet environment, conducive and supportive to residents' academic needs. Adequate parking is also available for residents and guests, and it is close to supermarkets and other shops and within easy walking distance of the upper campus.

Liesbeeck Gardens

Liesbeeck Gardens

Liesbeeck Gardens is a large, modern block of flats in Durban Road, Mowbray, close to the suburban transport central terminus, Mowbray Station and shops.

It houses 431 students in mainly two- and three-bedroomed flats.

There is a computer lab, swimming pool and basketball court. There is adequate parking and 24-hour security.

The Woolsack

The Woolsack

The Woolsack is situated on the middle campus, and houses 206 men and women students.

Accommodation is arranged in four pavilions and five courts, which flank a large lawn in the centre.

Kitchens are shared by four to six students.

The residence is a few minutes' walk from the upper campus.

Obz Square

Obz SquareObz Square is situated on the Main Road, Observatory, close to St Peters Square shopping mall. This large, modern residence is the latest addition to the UCT residence system and accommodates 880 senior and postgraduate students in en-suite single rooms. Eight to ten students share a kitchen. Some of the features of the complex include a variety of shops, a computer lab, a laundry and underground parking. Three large common rooms lead into a central courtyard garden.
