Stewart records another win

On the fast track: Lauren Stewart has won the 8km race at the recent WP Cross Country Champs.
Over the past year, Lauren Stewart has become the jewel in the UCT athletics crown, recording one memorable milestone after the other.
Cementing her growing reputation, Stewart has become the latest Western Province champion in the UCT Athletics Club, winning the 8km race at the WP Cross Country Champs in Bellville recently. Her gold medal follows on bronze medals the previous two years.
And Associate Professor Kevin Rochford, 62, set yet another UCT record when he won the 60+ category at the Brackenfell Half Marathon on Sunday, 19 August. Rochford finished the race in 1:39:19.
