Golf day raises thousands for bursary fund

This year's annual UCT GSB Pilsner Urquell Golf Day raised R32 000 for the MBA Bursary Fund, thanks to the support of the business school's staff, students, alumni, guests and sponsors.

A full field of 128 players, from amateurs to seasoned golfers, took part in an event that was held at the Rondebosch Golf Club.

A range of companies supported the event but the main sponsor was the South African Breweries under their Pilsner Urquell brand, while Taylor Made Adidas and Cape Storm provided players with noodle balls and shirts respectively.

Linda Fasham, alumni relations manager, thanked all those who contributed to the success of the day through their generous support.

"Not only was it a fun-filled event, but the money raised will be used to fund the studies of promising business students in the future," said Fasham.
