Cormac Cullinan speaks out for Green Week

Click to enlargeWe humans feel superior because of our highly developed brains - but if we use it to kill ourselves through by the planet, our brains are nothing more than an evolutionary cul-de-sac. This was one of the striking points raised by renowned environmental lawyer Cormac Cullinan in his lecture, Is civilisation choosing to collapse, on 29 September as part of UCT's Green Week programme. The author of Wild Law, and the CEO of EnAct International, an environmental governance consultancy, Cullinan stressed the importance of societal choices and the role of universities in this time of environmental crisis.
