UCT Community of Hope Vaccination Centre

The University of Cape Town in partnership with the Western Cape Government (WCG) have reinforced our commitment to bringing hope to the residents of the Mother City with the launch of the world‑class Community of Hope Vaccination Centre that opened its doors on Monday, 30 August 2021.

The site is located on Main Road in Mowbray – in the Forest Hill Residence – and access is from Broad Street. The site is open every day: Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:00.

UCT moved 20 places to 136th position in the latest 2020 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

US News

The sixth edition of the US News Best Global Universities rankings saw UCT being ranked 121st globally for 2020.

Measuring Economic Welfare

This course will introduce students, researchers, and officials in state agencies to the key concepts in measuring income, expenditure, poverty and inequality. There will also be a strong practical component where participants will use survey data to undertake welfare measurement and analysis.

Life Cycle Assessment

This course aims to familiarise the student with the environmental assessment tool known as Life Cycle Assessment. Further to allow the student to develop skills and insights in the important steps of LCA by working with LCA software and databases.
