Finance

The finance section provides the following services to IAPO and faculties within UCT:

1. invoicing Semester Study Abroad (SSA) partner institutions and individuals
2. managing non-SADC degree-seeking international student fee accounts
3. financial management of international fee surpluses and reporting and distributing these to faculties
4. financial management of the various sections within IAPO and ensuring compliance with relevant UCT policies
5. financial management of the USHEPiA programme
6. informing and implementing the various policies surrounding liability for international fees at UCT
7. providing a purchasing function within the unit
8. provision of international student statistics
9. guidance on various processes and systems
10. administer and originates US federal aid (Direct loan) for eligible US citizens
11. financial reporting

The functions and responsibilities of this section underpin the work of all other sections within IAPO.
