Overview
The African Academic Linkages section of IAPO focuses on developing, implementing and monitoring UCT's internationalisation policy with respect to Africa.
Its aim is to strengthen UCT's academic integration with the rest of Africa.
Focal areas
Efficiently run existing African academic partnership programmes and actively explore the potential for, and develop, new programmes.

Learn more about the UCT community and maximize our cooperation and strengths regarding the Higher Education possibilities & challenges in Africa.
- Build strategic linkages with relevant Departments / Collaboration with other Africa-focused units in UCT
- Raise awareness of African academia and research.
- Facilitate Visits by African academics and administrators
- Support staff who ask for advice.
- Support specific projects on request
- Develop information of the African academic linkages at UCT. Develop a database of UCT staff's African linkages. This information will serve as the basis for decisions on future UCT African initiatives.
Monitoring activities and events in Higher Education in Africa and developing information about Africa (countries, universities and linkages).
