Fees: Overview
SADC students
For the purposes of tuition fees, UCT charges citizens and permanent residents from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries the same fees as it charges local South Africans. This is in line with recommendations contained in the SADC Protocol on Education and Training (1997).
The SADC member countries are: Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Students from the rest of the world are liable for international fees.
