Yende does it again

UCT alumnus and rising opera star, Pretty Yende, added another medal to her growing collection when she jointly won the first Savonlinna Opera Festival International Singing Competition, held in Finland in late July. The soprano (in picture) shared the accolade with Michele Angelini from the US, and the two divided up the €30 000 (about R270 000) prize money.
