Overview

A variety of functions and events are organized for alumni by our Development and Alumni Department (DAD), the guys and gals at UCT who are committed to supporting and strengthening the whole alumni community.

These vary from:

• Public lectures with respected and influential public speakers;
• Leadership and networking forums with young and old alumni who are leaders in corporate and business sectors;
• Class reunions across all six faculties including UCT Graduate School of business;
• Vice-Chancellor's open lectures and road shows across various provinces, abroad and in Africa;
• Cocktail functions for alumni which keep them abreast of developments at UCT;
• Social outreach programmes that benefit the less privileged;
• School vacation programmes where alumni can be role models and mentors for those about to be UCT students;
• Fundraising has become even more important amidst the financial crisis, UCT looks to its alumni to assist it in pursuing its mission and goals and to make UCT a lekkAIR campus;
• Alumni concerts at Baxter Theatre Centre which celebrate South African College of Music Graduates and help raise fund for music bursaries.
