Helen Swingler - Head: Publications and Information A UCT graduate, Helen Swingler started her journalism career with the Argus Group of newspapers before moving to the trade and financial sectors, first in media relations and then as a corporate editor. She joined UCT as a senior editor in 1999 and was appointed head of Publications and Information in 2009.

Morgan Morris - Senior Writer Morgan Morris completed a BA honours at UCT and then stayed on to work at the UCT libraries and alumni offices. He joined the Publications and Information team as senior writer in 2009.

Myolisi Gophe - Writer Myolisi Gophe studied public relations management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. After working for Independent Newspapers as a reporter, he joined the Publications and Information unit in 2007 as a writer.

Abigail Calata - Writer Abigail Calata, a graduate from the University of Stellenbosch, joined the Publications and Information team in 2012. Before starting here she was a Public Relations Co-ordinator for the Cape Town Routes Unlimited, a government agency that markets the Western Cape as a tourist destination. She also worked as a reporter for Die Burger and Beeld.

Katherine Traut - Senior Photographer Katherine Traut worked as a portrait photographer at Memories of Africa, a studio in Noordhoek, before putting her lenses to work for the Publications and Information team in 2008. She is the senior photographer.

Raymond Botha - Photographer Raymond Botha worked for the Mozambican embassy in Cape Town before forging a new career at UCT in 2007. After completing a photography course at City Varsity he joined the Publications and Information team as a photographer.

Zwelibanzi Damba - Graphic Designer Zwelibanzi Damba (The One) studied graphic design at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). After stints with Old Mutual and Educore, he became a lecturer at CPUT. He joined the Publications and Information team as a graphic designer in 2008.

Sharifa Martin - Administrative Assistant After a stint as a personal assistant at the SABC (5fm) Sharifa Martin returned to Cape Town in 2009 to take up a post as senior secretary at the UCT Faculty of Health Sciences. She joined the Publications and Information team as administrative assistant in May 2010.
