IIU at UCT
The Institutional Information Unit provides management information to, and conducts institutional research for, various committees and stakeholders within the university and supports the Academic Reviews by providing student demographic and academic performance data.
Staff within the unit have experience working with various datasets including national Department of Education-required (Higher Education Management Information System) HEMIS data, Student Records Office Headcount and Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) student enrolment downloads, staffing downloads from the Human Resources department and Research Publication counts from the Research and Innovation Office.
