| Occupational Health and Safety Representative Course | 2 days | This is a two-day certificated course - SETA-accredited. The understanding and interpretation of the OHS Act. |

Definitions
OHS - SHE Representative Training Course. This is a two day certificated course - SETA accredited.
FA - First aid. This is a certificated course - SETA-accredited.
SHE - Safety, Health & Environment.
Please note: These courses are scheduled. If a department wants a course or workshop arranged specifically for their area, then they need to make special arrangements through the SHE office. (No less than 10 candidates are accepted for this special arrangement.)
All these courses and workshops are free ONLY to UCT staff at the University of Cape Town.
Some training involves practical’s, written assessments & physical activities.
Certificates will be issued by service providers for accredited courses.
It is compulsory for persons to book themselves on all courses and workshops timeously. Training bookings are done by:Angie.Ngalonkulu Tel: 021 650 2246.
The SHE department can also be invited to do safety, health and environment induction for any new staff members.
