Fire safety

All existing legally-required fire safety equipment and apparatus needs to be monitored and maintained on a regular basis. Monitoring is done by the safety, health and environment department and maintained by the engineering services department.

The safety, health and environment department and the engineering services department offices are located on the second floor, Shell Court, Mowbray

Services offered

1. The monitoring of fire evacuation systems
2. Arranging the training required for the operations of these systems
3. Arranging the training required for fire prevention
4. Arranging servicing of equipment. Fire evacuation systems are serviced every four months and fire extinguishers are serviced once a year
5. Arranging emergency signage
6. Carrying out fire risk assessments
7. Responding to any fire concerns
