Overview
The Disability Service supports equal academic access for disabled students in the following ways:
- advocacy and advice on any issues related to disability
- consultative and counselling support for students and staff with disabilities
- advising on academic adjustments and reasonable accommodations and providing specific services
- resource centre: literature and material relating to disability studies and disability research available to all staff and students. Material may be taken out on loan.
- physical access: a wheelchair guide map of the upper campus is available
- text conversion and assistive technology, including text conversion into Braille, electronic format, voice recording
- providing technical assistance
- parking for disabled students and staff
- facilitation of exam accommodations for disabled students
