Fire
Raise the alarm by
- Breaking the nearest break-glass unit on the fire alarm system;
- Informing Campus Protection at 021 650 2222 / 3;
- Informing the emergency controller of the area.
Determine
- The location of the fire;
- The seriousness of the fire.
Apply
- Basic fire-fighting procedures if possible;
- Evacuation procedures if necessary.
Co-operate
- Assemble at the emergency control point.
- Obey all instructions from the buildings emergency controller.
- Be available to give assistance to emergency services personnel.

Please report any incident that happens on the campus to CPS - even if there is no injury or damage. UCT will need to investigate the incident in order to prevent a similar occurrence.
