Power failures
- Find out whether the power failure is campus-wide.
- Inform Campus Security 021 650 2222 / 3.
- Check lifts for persons that may be trapped inside.
- Assess the amount of natural light in the building.
- Evacuate the building if there is not enough lighting to do hazardous work.
- Keep an account of all staff in the working environment.
- BE AWARE: The emergency lights only have limited life.
- BE AWARE: The fire evacuation system only has limited life.
- Obey all instructions from the buildings emergency controller.
