UCT ensuring that the fuels we use in the future are truly sustainable

UCT has certainly been busy and rightly so. We are committed to ensuring that the fuels we use in the future are truly sustainable. Our work spans the entire value chain, from green hydrogen production and captured carbon to the synthesis of diverse hydrocarbon products.
We are proud to hold intellectual property at multiple stages of this process, and even more proud to see several UCT spin-off companies, such as HyPlat: H₂ Fuel cell, HYENA: LFG to Electricity via H₂ Fuel cell, C-STAR: Modular FT-PtX process and Cape Catalytix: Bespoke catalyst reactor stations, already active and innovating within this ecosystem.
Philip Hoekstra, Intellectual Property Manager at the Research Contracts and Innovation, is attending the summit in Madrid. “Excited about attending the Sustainable Fuels Europe Summit 2025 as a technology transfer professional! Looking forward to insightful discussions and connecting with industry leaders.”, he said.
The momentum is real and it's building fast.
