University Research Committee (URC)

The URC exists to develop the university's strategy for research, scholarship and innovation.

URC strategic sub-committees include: 

• Committee on Research Reviews (CRR)

The CRR manages decisions relating to the cyclical quality assurance review process of URC accredited research groupings.

• University Equipment Committee (UEC)

The purpose of the UEC is to consider applications that help faculties and departments to acquire large items of equipment for research.

• Advanced Computing Committee (ACC)

The ACC advises the URC and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Internationalisation, anticipating the needs and demands of advanced academic computing across the institution.

• Research Data Management Governance Committee (RDMGC)

The RDMGC provides strategic oversight and governance for the management of research data generated within UCT.
